Over this semester, I have learned a ton about websites and web development. In one of my classes, Style and Design, we have a project due a week from today that involves all the new technology that we have learned. This includes making an online resume and portfolio. The software that we will be using to complete this project is Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, SnagIt, Flash, and BrowserBob. We also have to create a podcast, a flash version of our resume, a tutorial on Skype using SnagIt and a newsletter and brochure using InDesign. All though this project is very time consuming and quite difficult, in the long run I know that it will give me a chance to put me above others that I will be competing with in the "real world", making it all worth it.
I believe that with people being more internet savvy, especially my generation, having the knowledge of these and other software is very important. Basically, thank you for the advice, it really is beneficial and appreciated.
